Captain Latanya Brown has reportedly been spending time with Lil Wayne and granting the star criminal special privileges, allowing him to remain in his cell while other inmates have been ordered out to the recreation yard.

Officials at the New York City Department of Correction have launched an investigation into the claims and Brown was recently questioned about the allegations, according to the New York Post.

Lil Wayne is expected to walk free from prison on 5 November after serving eight months of his one-year sentence.
